In the landscape, Titli Trust has partnered with a local NGO, Epum Sirum, to promote nature-linked livelihoods. Long term biodiversity assessments, identification of bird, butterfly and moth “specials”, trail mapping and local capacity building have been done over the last 3 years.
The 1st Siang Biodiversity Meet was successfully held at Gobuk and Ramsing from 12-18 May 2024, while the 2nd Siang Biodiversity Meet was held at Gobuk from 18-25 May 2025. The 3rd Siang Biodiversity Meet is planned from 2nd to 9th May 2026 at Gobuk and Likor. These meets will help to support the nature-linked livelihood program, and incentivize the local community to set up homestays and conserve their forests and its associated biodiversity.
These meets are organised by Epum Sirum, supported by nature conservation NGO’s, Titli Trust, Indian Foundation for Butterflies and Nature Mates. These meets are also being supported by the Arunachal Pradesh Forest Department and Upper Siang Tourism.
Eicher Group Foundation (Royal Enfield Social Mission) is funding Titli Trust’s conservation and livelihood program in the landscape.
